Week 15 NFC North Preview

It Week 15. The Vikings are falling (to the Lions 34-23) but can clinch the NFC North on Saturday at home. The Lions are very much in the hunt for the playoffs but need to finish 3-1 with some help or 4-0 for 93% chance at playoffs. Packers are still in the hunt but need to run the table and get a lot of help (two of Giants, Seattle, Washington only win 1 game of 4). Bears are eliminated already in hilarious fashion.

Colts at Vikings (Saturday 1PM ET game against Jeff Saturday)

Vikings play the lowly Colts on Saturday to try and clinch the NFC North. Justin Jefferson is a beast (coming off 213 yard game) and Dalvin Cook can run the ball well (just not against the Lions last week). Hock has helped their offense and Thielen is still solid. Cousins should have a good game against a bad Colts team. Colts defense is average with a good defensive line (Buckner, Paye and Ngakoue) but their offense under Matt Ryan is 31st in the league in PPG.  Key will be stopping Jonthan Taylor from a big game. Vikings defense has been pretty bad the last five games though so the Colts could pull an upset.

Lions at Jets 1 PM ET Sunday

Lions are a top 5 offense and the Jets are a top 6 defense under Robert Saleh. Mike White should play at QB for the Jets giving them a good chance. Lions defense has improved just enough and is forcing turnovers. Lions offense is healthy finally and running on all cylinders with the most 30+ point games in the league (7). Strength versus strength but Goff is different on the road. He must figure out his road woes and the Lions must protect Goff from Quienen Williams, Carl Lawson and rookie Jermain Johnson. Big game for the Lions for another signature win on the road. No let down after beating down the Jags and Vikings.

Eagles at Bears 1 PM ET Sunday

Poor Bears. Play the best team in the NFC looking to gain NFC East lead and HFA lead. If Bears win this game I will be shocked. Bears did beat San Fran though Week 1 (in a down pour).

Rams at Packers MNF 815 ET

Packers try to run the table against the lowly Rams. Baker Mayfield somehow won NFC player of the week with only 2 days being on the Rams before the Thursday win. Rams have major protection issues and missing most of their weapons. If Packers can’t win this game they have problems. They are coming off a bye and Rodgers thumb/ribs are healed. Another big day for Watson and the Packes running game. Rams defense is average enough but without Donald it takes a big step back. Avoid turnovers, turnover Baker, run the ball well and the Packers win big. Rams loss gives the Lions better 1st round pick (pick 4 right now). Go Pack Go!
