Hey guys. Remember Know Your Enemy. Let’s talk football and know our enemies. The New York Jets are up first.  J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets.  The Jets were 5-11 under Head coach Todd Bowles who returns as the coach. They were 24th scoring 18.6 PPG and allowed 23.9PPG for 23rd in league on defense.

Strengths

The Jets lack tru strengths so we’ll take a look at potential strengths.

Potential Strengths

QB

They traded up to the 3rd overall pick in the draft to draft QB Sam Darnold (USC)  after the Browns stupidly took Baker Mayfield with the top pick. Josh McCown had a decent season in 2017 and Teddy Bridgewater was added. The Jets are much better at QB than they have been in the past.

RB

Isiah Crowell, Thomas Rawls and Bilal Powell could be a decent combination at running back.

Defensive line

Leonard Williams is the only remaining player from their first rounders and is a good one. Sheldon Richardson is a Viking and Mo Wilkerson is a Packer now. Steve McClendon is a decent nose tackle but Henry Anderson is a weak Right End in a 3-4 for Bowles.

Inside Linebackers

Darron Lee is a first rounder with potential and Avery Williamson is an under the radar decent player. Kevin Minter is an experienced addition from the Bengals.

Secondary

Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye were first and 2nd round picks in the 2017 draft for the Jets. They added Trumaine Johnson from the Rams as a big corner signing. Morris Claiborne had a solid year for them and Buster Skrine can man the slot CB job.

Weaknesses

Offensive Line

Brian Winters (RG) and Kelvin Beachum (LT) are fine but the rest of the line is very weak. James Carpetner (LG), Spence Long (C) and Brian Shell (RT) will be a problem.

WRS/TE

Quincy Enuwa returns from injury. Jermain Kearse and Robby Anderson are nothing special. Jordan Legget, Clive Walford and rookie 4th round pick Christopher Herndon are a lackluster tight end group. The Jets QBs will lack good weapons.

OLB

Lorenzo Mauldin and Jordan Jenkins are 3rd round picks from 2015 and 2016 as the starters. Courtney Upshaw is decent against the run but lacks pass rush. The Jets pass rush should be grounded.

Schedule

The Jets stink. They travel to Detroit Week 1 for Monday Night Football. The host the Vikings Week7 and travel to Chicago in Week 8. The Jets host the Packers in Week 16. The North should sweep the jets (jet sweep).
