Week 7 of the NFL season is upon us as the NFC North division race shakes out.

Vikings 5-1 Bye Week

Time for a round of golf for Shooter on Sunday while maintaining first place.

Packers (3-3) at Commanders (2-4)

Green Bay travels to the Nation’s capital-adjacent to try and end a 2-game losing streak to New York teams. Washington just beat the Bears in Chicago, but Green Bay should handle the Carson Wentz-less Commanders. Washington has an average defense and below average run game. Taylor Henicke is experienced back-up and will need to figure out how to get Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel and Johan Dotson (possibly injured) involved.  As long as the Packers don’t turn the ball over stupidly, they win this game easily.

Lions (1-4) at Cowboy (4-2)

The Lions are super injured (4 of top 5 WR, RG, FS, half of the Dline and backups), stink on defense (32nd in league) and the Cowboys are pretty healthy and get Dak Prescott back. Cowboys run game is good with Tony Pollard and Ezekial Elliot. CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup should have big days. Cowboys win in a rout 30-13 as they have a good defense to shut down the Lions passing game. Lions run game success and somehow stopping the Cowboy’s run game is their only shot apart from fluke turnovers.

Bears (2-4) at Patriots (3-3) MNF

The Bears offense is atrocious with Justin Fields. Bears go on the road to face a decent defense in New England (who shut-out the Lions top offense in league coming into the game and crushed the Browns). Mac Jones or rookie Bailey Zappe are capable to game manage and the Patriots ground game is still good with Rhamondre Stevenson (5.1 YPC) (Damien Harris is hurt). Patriots win 23-10.
