I was born a poor black child. I remember the days, sittin' on the porch with my family, singin' and dancin' down in Mississippi where I learned the three rules of life: Lord loves a workin' man; don't trust whitey; see a doctor and get rid of it.
With week 5 in our rear view mirrors we can look forward to, yep, you guessed it, week 6. Basic math really. Some of our teams are in good shape; others are the Vikings. The Falcons are getting a new coach, but it won’t matter because they will still have Matty Ice (I really wish WordPress would let me make the font for ‘Ice’ comic-sans. I mean, I guess I could if I wanted to do some inline css, but I don’t, so just use your imagination). Big game this week is the Packers at the Bucs. Well, it’s really not that big of a game because Green Bay should walk all over Tampa. Brady is washed but the media will hype him in a match-up with Rodgers (who is also washed). There used to be a time that I would totally be cheering for Green Bay here and then I met Packer fans. I say this from the bottom of my heart; I hope the who Packer team slips on a banana peel and crushes their family jewels so that they can never reproduce. Anyway, Falcon fans, before you kys, listen to this. This isn’t to stop you from doing the deed, it’s just a good song about kys.
Not really a lot of action last week. Donny and Glove failed yet again to get a point. LoW got a point tho, so all is right with the world. Potatoes, jmac34 (the dude just comes around for CYST), Nate and Gabes each scored a point. I was the big mover because I was the only one who had faith in the Bears and got the Against the Grain point for picking them to crush Tom Brady. None of that really matter tho because that master replicator Curtis is still in first place. Fuck him and his shitty team. Here’s the breakdown…
WEEK 5 WRAP UP
(Total of zero points for any of you.)
Margin of Victory:
- Gabes22, New Orleans Saints over Los Angeles Chargers by 3 points
(Always good to side with the Saints.)
- LambeauOrWrigley, New Orleans Saints 30 points in a win vs. the Los Angeles Chargers
- potatoes, New Orleans Saints 30 points in a win vs. the Los Angeles Chargers
- jmac34, Los Angeles Chargers 27 points in a loss vs. the New Orleans Saints
- natesweet, Los Angeles Chargers 27 points in a loss vs. the New Orleans Saints
- thenichels, Los Angeles Chargers 27 points in a loss vs. the New Orleans Saints
(Really, if it wasn’t for the Saints game, I’d be the only one with points.)
Against The Grain:
- thenichels, Chicago Bears over Tampa Bay Buccaneers (14.29%)
(Nate couldn’t even pick his own team to win. h2ci)
(Still impressive that we’ve had 2 so far this year.)
|NCFN & NFCS Picks|
|FYS User||Total Points||CYST||Points Scored||Spread||ATG||Home||Visitor|
The above only represents games that involved the NFCN or NFCS. If you wish, the leader board for those who weren’t too “busy” to pick all the games is here. This only contains those of you who actually scored a point in CYST. Want to see your name here? Do better and stop sucking. This means you, Shooter.
Wondering why some of the names have a different background color? Well, that’s because of a fantastic feature of the CYST site. If you click on My Account on the top right of the CYST site (when you’re logged in), you will see my todo list for that page, but also a color picker. If you choose a color there (and click update), that color will be the background on the site in tables where your name appears.
No Thursday game tonight because of Covid scheduling or some shit. Use this downtime to go make your picks before you forget. Really, I’m not kidding, go do it now. How do you get to the site so that you can pick games? Well, that’s a good question. If only there was a uniform resource locator in the form of a hyperlink.
DON’T FORGET TO MAKE YOUR PICKS FOR THIS WEEK’S GAMES
Don’t mind this part a second time as I’m just putting it here to let you know that I reset the day/time for the Steelers/Titans game. It is now in week 7 and if you already made you pick for it in week 4, it’s still there. Wasn’t that nice of me? Thank you, that is all. Go make your picks.
