There are some pretty good running backs in the NFC North and NFC South. Don’t believe me, well fuck you then.

1. Christian McCaffery

1,348 yards rushing and 1,005 yards receiving with 19 combined TDs. He is the Panthers offense. 1,098 yards and 861 receiving in 2018 with 13 TDS combined. He got a huge contract for a reason. Stud

2a. Dalvin Cook

Cook finally stayed healthy and went beast mode. 1,135 rushing yards and 519 receiving yards and 13 rushing TDs for Cook in 2019. He is about to be paid by the Vikings.

2b. Aaron Jones

5.5 YPC and for 728 yards on 133 carries for Jones in 2018. 2019 he was a monster finally getting a full time load at 4.6 YPC, 1084 yards on 236 carries. Jones added 474 yards receiving and 19 combined TDs in 2019 alone. Packers will pay him at the right price.

2c. Alvin Kamara

5.0 YPC career average with good blocking. Over 2,000 receiving yards in 3 seasons as well. Not a full work horse yet which drops him but he flat out produces in 3 seasons ranging from 120-194 carries a year. He will get a big contract next year too.

5. Todd Gurley

Gurley was a beast before the knee injury slowed him after a huge contract. Rams regret that contract and cut him. The Falcons have him on a decent one year deal. Gurley has 3 good seasons, one big knee injury and two poor seasons including 2019. He isn’t the same back he was when drafted but should help the Falcons.

6. Kerryon Johnson

Health is the key for KJ. 5.4 YPC in 10 games in 2018. This is behind the Lions below average run blocking. More injury problems in 2019 and poor run blocking for 3.6 YPC. Kerryon has the talent but needs the support the other backs get and to stay healthy.

7a. DeAndre Swift

Talented do everything back from Georgia. Great one-two punch with Kerryon.

7b. AJ Dillon

Bowling bowl that will be a load to tackle. Great one-two punch with Aaron Jones.

7c. Latavius Murray

Nice little career but a backup to Kamara. Only hit 1,000 yards once and 4.1 YPC career average to Raiders, Vikings and Saints. 4.4 YPC in 2019 was nice.

8a. Ronald Jones

Did nothing his rookie year but showed promise at 4.2 YPC in 2019 for the Bucs. 724 yards and 6 TDs and 309 receiving yards. Jones has talent as a second round pick but needs to improve in year 3.

8b. Tarik Cohen

Gadget running back with 3.3 YPC in 2019. Had more success in 2017/2018 and can be dynamic in making people miss.

10. David Montgomery

3.7 YPC rookie year. Bears need much more out of him but has potential.

Notable backups

Alexander Mattison (4.6 YPC on 100 carries in his rookie year), Jamaal Williams (decent), Ty Johnson (speed), Ameer Abdullah (remember him, he is on Vikings), Ty Montgomery (remember him, he is on Saints)
